Which Flesh and Blood Sets Should I Buy? [Best FaB Expansions 2025]

Currently, Flesh and Blood sports 18 expansions for you to choose from, each with its own lore, aesthetics, and unique mechanics. So, if you’re a new player, how do you know where to start?

Flesh and Blood Sets In Order

First, let’s have a look at each expansion and get a feel of the mechanics, heroes, and aesthetics involved, which can help you figure out your preferred starting deck.

Welcome to Rathe (2019)

The first one in our FaB set list is Welcome to Rathe. Back when it first came out in 2019, its release perfectly set the tone for this game.

The overall design of the cards, as well as the unique and strategic game mechanics (such as the ‘Combat Chain’ mechanic), felt like a breath of fresh air in the world of TCGs. We were introduced to four characters:

  • Rhinar (Brute)
  • Bravo (Guardian)
  • Katsu (Ninja)
  • Dorinthea (Warrior)

Arcane Rising (2020)

Soon after, we saw the release of Arcane Rising, the very first FaB expansion.

While the first release had a classic fantasy feel, this one introduced a steampunk aesthetic into the the mix, adding four new classes to the game: Mechanologist, Ranger, Runeblade, and Wizard.
