What Does the Journeys Expansion Add?
Journeys expands the existing Duel for Middle-Earth experience with new events and new opportunities to travel through Middle-earth. These additions give players more decisions to consider while competing as the Fellowship or the forces of Sauron.
The expansion is designed to work with the established two-player game rather than replacing it, adding another layer of variety for players who already enjoy repeated matches of Duel for Middle-Earth.

Return to the Battle for Middle-Earth
The base game places one player in control of the Fellowship and the other in command of Sauron. Across three chapters, players compete through the Quest of the Ring, alliances with the Peoples of Middle-earth and control of regions across the map.
Journeys builds on that existing strategic duel with additional events and travel-related possibilities, making it particularly suited to players who already know the base game and want more variety from future matches.
Who Is Journeys For?
Journeys is intended for players who already own The Lord of the Rings: Duel for Middle-Earth and want to expand the two-player experience without moving to a completely different game.
Its compact expansion format also makes it a natural addition for regular Duel for Middle-Earth players who want new strategic choices while retaining the approximately 30-minute playing time of the core game.
